Get Ready For 2022 ? Be On Top Of your New Year’s Resolutions ?

kelly-sikkema-htDhtz2GqAc-unsplash

2021 has been productive, inspiring and full of achievements. But it also brought challenges dealing with Covid-19, keeping social distancing, working from home, and taking care of our families. We hope you made the most out of it, and that you’re ready towards 2022.

A new year is a promise for a fresh start. It’s our goal here at 24me to help you fulfill this promise. So to boost your productivity in the new year, and to make life simpler, we are releasing today a major version of 24me. This new version, which is available to download on the App Store, was made especially for the new year –  with more than 30 new features to get organized and be on top of your new year’s resolutions.

Here are the main new features you get when you download the new 24me for the New Year:

– Keeper: keep websites you visit as tasks in 24me

You are probably getting so many notifications throughout the day. They might be about interesting articles that you don’t have the time to read at that moment, or about a website with information you might need for a future project. This is what 24me’s Keeper is for: a new way to keep websites as tasks in 24me. Adding the power of 24me tasks to Keeper gives you the option to set a reminder for the right time to visit that website. Furthermore, you can use 24me labels to label those keeper tasks, and organize them into different topics. We believe that Keeper will allow you to be super organized in the coming year.

.

– Set reminders for specific calendar accounts

You have been asking for this feature for quite some time. With the new version of 24me you can choose which calendar account to get reminders for. That will allow you to be more focused and have better control over your schedule and your reminders. Enabling this features is done via 24me Menu > Visible Calendars.

.

– Set the default duration for calendar events

Some people love to set one hour meetings, some prefer 45 minutes and others like to keep it short and up to 20 minutes. We already know that every one of you has different habits and different preferences for how to manage time. For better ease-of-use we added the ability to configure the default duration for calendar events. Enabling this features is done via 24me Settings > Default event duration.

.

– Hide/Show tasks on the calendar

Another feature for customization and enhanced organization is the ability to define whether to show tasks on the calendar. If you want the calendar screen to show only events, you can do so with the newest 24me version. Tasks are always presented on the Tasks screen. Enabling this features is done via 24me Settings > Show tasks on calendar.

show tasks on caledar

.

– Customize repeated events

We are making our support for recurrence even more robust. With this new version you are able to set a weekly recurrence on events, and choose on which days of the week to have the event repeat. For example, you can set a recurring event to repeat every three weeks on Mondays and Wednesdays.

.

– Add multiple labels to tasks

We know that there are tasks that can be part of multiple projects. That’s why we’ve added the ability to add multiple labels to tasks. For example, “Buy groceries” can be labeled with: ‘household errands’, and ‘shoppings’. Then, once you are using the Label mode on the Tasks screen, you will see that task under both those labels.

.

– Split screen support for iPads

We added the ability to use split screens on iPads to enhance your productivity. You can now use 24me together with another app, side by side.

We believe 2022 is going to be a wonderful year. We wish you all to become even more focused, keep the resolutions you had promised yourself at the beginning of the year, build healthy habits, and stay on top of things. We will keep improving 24me to provide you with the best personal assistant experience.

Wishing you and your families a happy new and productive 2022 ??

With Love ❤️

App Store Features 24me App Developers: Behind The App

Screen Shot 2021-11-08 at 2.45.05 PM

We are excited to share articles about 24me that were recently published on the App Store. We are humbled for this opportunity, given to us by Apple, to share our personal story. A story about parents, who decided to build a personal assistant to get life in order and be on top of things.

We started 24me years ago as an automatic to-do list, which was revolutionary for those days in 2013… Since then, 24me has evolved into a one stop shop for managing everything related to the schedule: One place for all your calendars, to-do lists, notes and personalized reminders.

Screen Shot 2021-11-09 at 1.31.46 PM

As parents for young kids, we felt how challenging it can be to juggle work and family all together. That’s why every feature we added into 24me, has been thoughtfully crafted. Every functionality added to 24me came to existence out of a real life challenge we or our team had experienced. We created 24me with lots of love and attention to details, to help people like us be on top of things.

Today, 24me has grown to be so much more to so many different users worldwide. Our team is so proud to have millions of users using 24me as their own personal  assistant.

We are sharing the two articles about us, the founders of 24me, where you can find our personal story about how we grew the app:

Three things to get you started with 24me

24me was created to become your true personal assistant. As such, it can transform your life and make it much more productive and efficient. We wanted to write a short blog post with some recommendations about how to start working with 24me. Following these recommendations will ensure you experience 24me’s fullest capabilities.

1. Initial Setup

  1. The first step is registration. The benefits of having an account is having a backup of all your tasks and notes which you will have access to, in case your device is damaged or lost. This way you won’t have to worry about losing important stuff. Also, it will allow you to share tasks with other people, send meeting invitations and sync your tasks and notes between all of your devices.

    Login to 24me

  2. The second step is to sync with your local apps, so you can spend less time managing your schedule and more time enjoying it.
  • Connect your Calendar, to automatically  add your events to 24me. You can hide any calendar account you want by going to the 24me settings screen, and choosing “visible calendars”. Read more about the calendar setting in 24me here.
  • With Notifications, you will get notified for the events and tasks you choose. 24me makes sure you will never miss these important events.
  • Sync your Contacts to use advanced functionalities of 24me. You will be able to complete tasks right from within 24me such as  calling, texting and emailing people from your contacts. 24me adds the completion buttons next to these tasks, and with one tap you can complete it. In addition, connecting with your Contacts will allow you to easily share your tasks and events with your contacts.
  • By allowing 24me access to your Location, it will be able to tell you the time to meetings with traffic alerts, notify you about weather conditions and give you the forecast – so you can plan ahead your schedule.
IMG_7655

Sync with your local apps to spend less time managing your schedule

2. Syncing With Your Calendar And Email Accounts

Once you allow 24me to connect to your calendar as part of the initial setup, it syncs with any calendar account you have on your device. In case one of your accounts is missing, add it under your iOS Settings app > Accounts & Passwords > Add Account.

setting cal acc2

To add a calendar account go to iOS settings > Accounts & Passwords and add your account

3. Disabling Double Notifications

Notifications are great when you receive them once, and at the right time. Multiple notifications takes away your attention, distract you, and reduces your productivity. To avoid double notifications from 24me and the Apple calendar app, or any other calendar related app on your device, we highly recommend to disable notifications from those other apps.

This is the way to avoid multiple notifications and stay productive:

  1. Open iOS Settings app
  2. Go to Notifications
  3. Go to the Apple calendar icon
  4. Turn OFF notifications.
disable Notifications
